The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) PSL6 Senior Contract Officer Fire role sits within the Fire System Maintenace Section in the Property Services Branch. This branch plays a critical role in ensuring that Parliament House remains safe, functional, and resilient by managing essential building systems, infrastructure reliability, and compliance with statutory and Australian Standard requirements. The Fire Systems Management team specifically oversees fire protection assets and emergency warning systems that safeguard building occupants and support the continuous operations of the Australian Parliament. As the Senior Contract Officer Fire, you will be responsible for managing the Fire and EWIS system maintenance contract and ensuring all fire-related assets operate to required performance levels. You will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities, develop technical specifications, support procurement processes, manage budgets and monthly invoicing, and provide high-level technical advice to key stakeholders. . In this role, you will be responsible for managing the building's Fire and Emergency Warning and Intercommunication System (EWIS) maintenance contract, ensuring all works meet DPS standards across time, quality, compliance and cost.
