Requirements About the role We are seeking a full-time Pre-Primary Teacher to join our team from Term 2, 2026. The role requires a passionate educator dedicated to fostering academic, social, and spiritual growth within a structured, evidence-based, and values-driven Christian school environment. The successful candidate will hold the following core responsibilities : Holistic Student Development: Deliver high-quality education that nurtures students academically, socially, and spiritually, aligning with the school's Christian values. Community Engagement: Actively and positively engage with parents and the broader school community to support student success. Professional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to implement whole-school programs, pedagogy, policies, and curriculum. The successful candidate will implement a pedagogical framework and foster a classroom environment based on the following principles: Evidence-Based Instruction: Base teaching strategies on the Science of Learning and the underpinning Cognitive Load Theory, utilising daily reviews and retrieval practices to ensure knowledge retention. Literacy Instruction: Prioritise literacy through structured, explicit instruction to ensure students "learn to read" so they can later "read to learn." Responsive & Data-Informed Teaching: Regularly check for understanding, provide quality feedback, and use data to design rich learning tasks that stretch student thinking. Positive Tone: Create an appealing, safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom space. Clear Routines: Establish and maintain structures and routines so every student clearly understands expectations, while also having fun! As lifelong learners, all teachers at ACC should be willing to engage in professional development opportunities, including coaching, to collectively improve practice. Key Requirements Relevant teaching qualification and registration with the WA Teacher Registration Board (TRBWA). Suitable qualifications for junior primary or Pre-Primary education.
