The Role The School Absentee Officer is responsible for assisting school communities with processes that aim to improve student attendance and engagement in educational programs. This includes monitoring daily student attendance, producing absence reports, amending absence records, collecting and analysing absenteeism data, overseeing the class roll marking each day and assisting our Student Services and Wellbeing teams with administrative processes as required. The officer will also collaborate with school staff, Department staff, parents/carers and the wider community to identify student absenteeism and address issues which impact on student attendance, assist teachers and the school administrative team.
