Excavator Operator Multiple locations: Singleton | Maitland | Newcastle Competitive pay rate $46.06 – $48.56 per hour penalties & allowances Hours Monday to Friday overtime We’re seeking experienced Excavator Operators to support a range of civil infrastructure projects across Singleton, Maitland, and Newcastle. These roles suit operators with strong detailed and GPS experience, who are confident performing precision works including piers, retaining walls, and structural installations. You’ll be working on well run civil sites with strong supervision, a safety first culture, and work that requires accuracy, smooth machine control, and attention to detail. What You’ll Be Doing Operating excavators across civil infrastructure works, including pier drilling, retaining walls, and structural installations Using a 25T excavator with auger to drill pier holes to correct depth, position, and vertical alignment, including cleaning hole bases Lifting and installing steel posts, noise wall panels, and retaining walls using slings, chains, and approved lifting methods Carrying out final trim and detailed excavation using GPS, including building pads, roads, footpaths, and service trenches Completing house and building cut outs on sloping sites, forming level pads to engineering specifications Excavating trenches for stormwater, sewer, water, and electrical services, including bedding, backfilling, and compaction support What We’re Looking For RII Excavator ticket – essential Proven experience in detailed and final trim excavation using GPS (Trimble, Topcon, or similar) Demonstrated experience in retaining wall and structural works, including pier drilling and lifting with slings and chains Background working on civil construction projects Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic Additional tickets (Loader, Dozer, Roller, ADT, etc.) highly regarded What’s In It for You Competitive pay rate: $46.06 – $48.56 per hour penalties & allowances Monday to Friday work with overtime available Well supported civil sites with a strong safety culture Opportunity to utilise and further develop your plant operating skills Ready to take the next step?
