They are seeking an experienced sales individual to support their Australia expansion. Our client is a global manufacturer of premium hydraulic control valves and flow-control solutions used across waterworks, irrigation and fire protection infrastructure. With more than 75 years of engineering heritage and a strong international presence, the business is now entering an exciting new phase of growth in Australia. To support this expansion, they are establishing their first direct commercial presence in the Australian market. This newly created role represents a rare opportunity for an experienced technical sales professional to take ownership of market development, build key industry relationships, and play a leading role in shaping the company’s long-term footprint locally. Based in either Melbourne or Sydney, the successful candidate will work closely with the global leadership team while operating as the first local representative, driving sales growth and positioning them as a key competitor to established players in the sector. The Role: • Drive new business growth across the Australian Waterworks and/or Fire Protection markets through proactive business development • Identify and secure new opportunities with water utilities, contractors, consultants, engineering firms and system integrators • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and presentations through to negotiation and deal closure • Build strong industry relationships and act as the local face in Australia • Represent the business at industry events, customer meetings and technical discussions • Collaborate closely with the global team, providing pipeline reporting, forecasts and market intelligence • Support the long-term development of their Australian presence as the business scales Your Background: • 5 years in technical B2B sales, ideally across valves, pumps (or similar products) within water infrastructure or fire protection systems • Strong industry experience and relationships within Water Utilities, Fire Protection or related infrastructure sectors • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate technical product capabilities into customer-focused solutions • Highly autonomous, entrepreneurial and comfortable operating in a developing market environment • Engineering or technical background highly regarded This is a rare opportunity to join a globally respected manufacturer at the very start of its Australian growth journey.
