About the Role Join our Day Work team at Invicta Mill as a Rigger/Scaffolder! This is a permanent position at our sugar processinf factory and will suit someone who is self-motivated, doesn't need close supervision and can work in well with others. The Rigger/Scaffolder role is responsible for carrying out their task safely and efficiently to the required standards as outlined in the WH&S Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and Advisory Standards. Planning and conducting risk assessment on all tasks as well as communicating with the Head Rigger, Workplace Coordinators, Shift Coordinators and Production Superintendents is a major consideration. Your Role in Action Perform rigging and scaffolding as per organisational requirements, ensuring safety and compliance. Collaborate effectively with fellow riggers, scaffolders, and assistants for smooth team operations. Maintain a register of all rigging equipment and ensure its readiness for use. Regularly inspect, test, and maintain rigging and scaffolding equipment to ensure top performance. Prioritize safe rigging and scaffolding practices , adhering to safety protocols at all times. Allocate equipment in consultation with the Head Rigger or Work Co-ordinator, ensuring needs are met. Conduct audits of equipment and safety practices, ensuring ongoing improvements. Manage job progress , from planning to completion, while tracking against budget and timelines. Communicate daily/weekly tasks with the team, providing clear direction and support. Understand roles and responsibilities as outlined in the employee handbook, maintaining high standards of punctuality and performance. Ensure permits, risk assessments, and safety analyses are completed for all tasks. Your Winning Combination We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with the following experience - Intermediate Rigging and Scaffolding High Risk Work Licence. Dogging and Mobile Crane High Risk Work Licence. Forklift High Risk Work Licence. Confined Space and Working at Heights Certificates. Highly Desirable - Certificate II in Sugar Milling Operations and C Class Drivers Licence.
