As an Employment & Industrial Lawyer, you will advocate for trade unions and their members. Your responsibilities will include providing high-quality legal advice on employment laws, industrial relations, workplace regulations, trade union governance, and human rights law in an employment context. You'll represent clients in negotiations, alternate dispute resolution, and litigation, striving to secure favourable outcomes and uphold workers' rights. The role includes advocacy work before the WAIRC, the FWC, the Industrial Magistrates Court, and the Federal Circuit and Family Court (Division 2). Graduate or entry-level candidates are welcome to apply for this position. Australian legal qualification is mandatory for this role. Admission to practice law in Australia is required, with pending admission considered. Some exposure to or demonstrated interest in employment and industrial relations law is required. Please note, this role is an office-based role working as part of a small team (3-4 people). Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
