Your opportunity to join the team at Prestons on Weekend Shift As the Weekend Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor working Friday to Monday, you will engage and lead your team to drive performance in the achievement of established goals. Providing front line operational support, you will ensure customer service levels are maximised and supply rates are achieved on an ongoing basis. As a leader you will driving best practice and continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiencies and improve operational performance. It’s important to know the shift times: Friday: 4:00am to 2:00pm Saturday: 4:00am to 2:00pm Sunday: 2:00pm to 12:00am Monday : 1:30pm to 11:30pm Daily Tasks Lead, motivate and develop your team to achieve individual, team and site objectives through effective people management strategies Drive daily DC performance including prompt and accurate picking, despatch, and throughput, while supporting key operational reporting across labour optimisation, overtime and inventory control Ensure customer requirements are understood and met by partnering with internal customer service teams and other DCs across the network in relation to orders and transfers Partner with planning and internal stakeholders to align on demand, supply and labour requirements, ensuring relevant policies and procedures are clearly defined and communicated You will bring to this role Proven experience managing teams in warehouse and distribution centre environments with a track record of achieving positive operational outcomes and building high performance, collaborative cultures Strong knowledge of supply chain logistics in an FMCG environment including Cold Chain Operations, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP, with experience in production environments advantageous Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives with knowledge of 5S, Total Productive Manufacturing and LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and effectively engage internal customers at all levels Resilient and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and recover quickly from setbacks in a dynamic business environment We’re looking for people who are curious, caring, courageous and committed to join us; people who want to contribute their best work every single day and continue delivering deliciously good food that’s…Always Good!
