Undergraduate Civil & Structural Engineer Role Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic Undergraduate Civil & Structural Engineer to support the Engineering Team in delivering civil and structural design solutions across substations, transmission lines, and renewable energy projects. The role will provide hands-on experience in the design and construction support of footings, structures, buildings, and associated civil works, while ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and statutory regulations. Key Responsibilities Assist in civil and structural engineering tasks across substations, transmission lines, and renewable energy projects. Support design activities, calculations, reports, and drawings under the guidance of senior engineers. Contribute to tender documentation and contractor scope preparation. Apply engineering principles to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and statutory regulations. Assist with design and review of civil/structural components such as footings, foundations, steelwork, buildings, retaining walls, drainage, and pavements. Support technical risk assessments, variations, and constructability reviews. Participate in life cycle safety workshops and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards. Provide site support and collaborate with construction teams under supervision. Stakeholder & Relationship Management Work closely with senior engineers and project teams to deliver design and technical support. Assist in coordinating with construction and maintenance teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable. Support Project Managers with reporting and technical guidance as required. Collaborate with discipline managers and technical leads for knowledge sharing and project alignment. Key Skills & Experience Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering . Basic understanding of civil and structural design concepts in substations, utilities, or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with Australian Standards and engineering principles. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Enthusiastic to learn and develop hands-on experience across project design and delivery.
