As a Nature Play Kindy (with a Nature Play program including nature walks), we have a large natural outdoor learning environment and spacious well-resourced classroom for you to assist making a meaningful impact. The Educator role is a respected position within the kindergarten service, with the responsibility of providing a stimulating, caring, safe and supportive environment for all children. What you’ll do: Prioritisation of the best interests of children. Upholding and actively promoting Child Safe Standards, ensuring the safety, wellbeing and rights of all children are always protected. Assisting the ECT / Nominated Supervisor in the provision of high-quality care, education and program for the children in line with the service philosophy. Creating a welcoming, culturally safe and responsive environment where all children, young people and their families are respected. Assisting the ECT by preparing and maintaining equipment, environments and materials as required. Working as a positive and collaborative team member. Actively promoting the kindergarten service within the local and broader community. Supporting the ECT, Nominated Supervisor & Educational Leader by providing any feedback, information and issues of concern which will contribute to the improvement of the program. Supporting positive and meaningful partnerships with parents in all aspects of the service provision. A positive attitude to working with young children and a desire to seek more knowledge about early childhood development and care. WHY WORK FOR US? Experienced Team – all are invested in working to drive a positive and collaborative culture. THE ESSENTIALS You will need: Minimum Diploma in Children Services, as recognised by ACECQA. Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card). Approved First Aid qualifications (as per ACECQA requirements), including CPR, emergency management of anaphylaxis and asthma training. Current Child Protection training. Ability to undertake service specific mandatory training. Australian work rights (permanent work rights preferred). Nature Play Qualifications (or a willingness to upskill). Key selection criteria: Demonstrated excellence in creating a welcoming, culturally safe and responsive environment for all children. Demonstrated excellence in forming on–going professional relationships with families and community stakeholders. Experience in assisting in the implementation and delivery of a high quality, play based Kindergarten program including knowledge of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and the Early Years Learning Framework. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of the service and professional learning.
