As a Plant Operator at Geocycle, based in Dandenong, you will be part of a hands-on team responsible for keeping the plant running safely and efficiently. At our small site, you will work across all areas of the operation, including loading and unloading materials, operating the control room, completing minor maintenance tasks and supporting plant troubleshooting, so no two days are the same. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and wants to build real skills in an industrial environment. You will receive full training and ongoing support to develop your capability and grow into a trusted operator with long-term career opportunities. During training, you will work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with the opportunity to transition to either 4:00 am to 12:00 pm or 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, supporting a strong work-life balance. Your Opportunity In this role, you will: Unload packaged material, sample, batch and log (for processing) Unload bulk tankers and transfer materials to tanks Load vacuum blending tanks Load and wash out ISO tanks Operate drum shredders and bulk solids systems De-head plastic IBC units Perform general housekeeping and forklift duties Have the opportunity to work overtime shifts on Saturdays What You'll Bring Previous experience working in an operations role, ideally in the waste treatment or chemical industry Forklift licence (essential) Strong safety focus Good mechanical aptitude A self-starter, who can work autonomously Great attention to detail and process troubleshooting/diagnostic abilities Basic computer skills ideally with an understanding of Word and Excel Why Join Cement Australia?
