Where you'll be working You will be working with the HKH Maternity Services with an amazing team including MUM’s, Clinical Midwife Educators, Clinical Midwife Specialists and Enrolled and Registered Midwives. What You'll Be Doing The immunisation nurse/midwife is responsible for the provision of antenatal vaccination services within the maternity service. The authorised registered nurse/midwife immuniser will work according to the NSW Health and NSLHD Work Health and Safety policy and procedures. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria Registered Nurse/Midwife - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and completed the relevant authorised nurse/midwife immuniser training. Authority for Registered Nurses/Midwives https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/immunisation/Documents/authority-for-RNs-and-midwives.pdf Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing/midwifery practice and continuing professional development with the ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations. Demonstrated computer literacy skills with the ability to use the Australian Immunisation Register and health information systems. Demonstrated problem solving and sound judgement skills with detailed clinical knowledge, understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse/Midwife in applying these principles.
