Midwifery within Women and Children's Health, Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is an established collaborative Midwifery Service with individualised continuity of care through pregnancy, labour and the early postnatal period. The Caseload Midwife must demonstrate a broad range of Midwifery skills and knowledge to provide care relevant to the woman's needs across the continuum of pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period. This is a role where you will manage an allocated caseload of women in collaboration with the wider maternity team, conduct antenatal and postnatal visits in hospital, community, or home settings, support women in making informed choices about their pregnancy and birth and promote safe, evidence-based practice and positive birth experiences. What You Will Bring To The Role Current registration as a Registered Midwife Division 1 with AHPRA. Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in Midwifery, including current skills in Antenatal, Intrapartum and Postpartum care. Demonstrated capacity to provide effective midwifery care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work. Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and willingness to undertake further education. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work an on-call model, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the team requirements including willingness to work 24/7 on-call model.
