Join us in a role with unique responsibilities Little Edward Day Hospital is our newest flagship day hospital located in Spring Hill. Scheduled to open in late April 2026, this world-class day hospital will specialise in a range of surgical specialities including Gynaecology and IVF. We are looking for people who are passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and want to make a positive impact on the patient experience. As a Day Hospital Administrator, you will play a significant role in the smooth running and efficiency of our day hospital. You will be the first-person patients meet when they enter the hospital. With exceptional service, underpinned by compassion, empathy and attention to detail, you will directly enhance the experience of patients undertaking fertility/gynaecology, ophthalmology, paediatric dental and plastics procedures. The position will require some flexibility with variable hours (between the hours of 6am and 5pm), with full-time and part-time opportunities available. Your responsibilities will include: Triaging incoming calls, emails, and responding to patient enquiries Managing patient bookings, admission paperwork and the flow of patients through the day hospital each day Performing Health Fund Checks as required Managing the collection of excesses/co-payments, daily banking, receipting and reconciliation Accurate data entry into the patient management system, FYDO Providing general administrative support to the team Delivering best-in-class service to all patients Are you the ideal candidate for the role? The Day Hospital Administrators will be sensitive to the needs of patients and will support their wellbeing through timely and considered communication. Ideally you will bring the following: Knowledge of medical terminology Previous health administration experience Previous experience with Private Health Funds, medical billing and receipting Excellent telephone manner Exceptional computer and IT skills Experience using FYDO (advantageous) and Microsoft Office Suite (essential) Strong attention to detail Ability to work cohesively within a multi-disciplinary team Superior time management skills with proven ability to multitask A willingness to embrace the Monash IVF Group principles – Care, Collaborate, Communicate, Commitment, Create.
