As a key member of the Community Services division, you will provide the strategic leadership and operational oversight necessary to manage a high-performing Registered Training Organisation (RTO). About your next role As the Education & Training Manager, you will translate high-level board strategy into operational outcomes across all education and training initiatives. Your responsibilities will include: Overseeing the RTO, VET in Schools programs, Remote University Study Hubs, and the Indigenous Skills Employment Program. Ensuring full compliance with ASQA, the VET Quality Framework, and all funding obligations. Identifying and securing new funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to expand accredited and non-accredited program revenue. Recruiting, mentoring, and managing a multidisciplinary team of educators and administrative staff to foster a high-performance culture. Building and maintaining culturally respectful relationships with Indigenous communities, government agencies, and industry experts. Focusing on tailored support to ensure learners achieve career-oriented goals and maintain high program completion rates. What you will need to bring Extensive experience managing an RTO, including compliance, training delivery, audits, and staff performance. Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, with the ability to build trust in remote and culturally diverse settings. The ability to translate organisational goals into effective training strategies and long-term development plans. Proven track record in budgeting, business planning, and managing government-funded training contracts. High-level competence in Microsoft Office Suite and RTO-specific data management. Mandatory Requirements TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor). Ability to successfully complete an ASQA Fit and Proper Person Declaration. Willingness to travel to remote communities via vehicle (unsealed roads) or light aircraft. Desired: Graduate Certificate in Learning or Diploma in Training Design & Development.
