About The Team The Department of Industry, Science and Resources (the department) is partnered with the Australian Public Service Commission to lead the recruitment process for the Australian Government Graduate Program (AGGP) – STEM Stream. This offers candidates with a Major in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics, the opportunity to be considered for a role as a graduate within a number of Australian Public Service (APS) agencies who participate in the program. Hold a recent STEM qualification You must have completed, or be due to complete, an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 7 qualification (Bachelor degree) or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics, or an equivalent qualification. Your eligible STEM qualification must have been completed between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2026. Overseas qualifications (if applicable) Any relevant overseas qualification must be recognised by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR). You must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance. To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens. Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level. Notes A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette.
