Sydney based private hospital is seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to join its expert team. The primary function of this role is to facilitate the efficient and effective registration of all patients presenting to the Emergency Department. As the first point of contact, the officer is responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, confirming Medicare eligibility, and directing individuals to the appropriate clinical areas. Because the Emergency Department is a 24/7 service, the successful candidate must be available to work on a rotating roster covering all hours and days of the week. Key responsibilities include maintaining a professional reception environment, supporting the Patient Liaison and Admission teams, and ensuring that all patient data is handled with the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality. Ideal candidates will possess a Certificate III in Health Administration or at least two years of experience in a similar healthcare setting. Proficiency in IT systems, specifically Microsoft Office and inpatient management databases such as WebPAS, is highly regarded, as is an understanding of medical terminology. The role demands exceptional interpersonal skills, an aptitude for multitasking, and a demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team. Fluency in English and a strong attention to detail are essential for communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders and ensuring seamless administrative operations.
