Strategic leadership role in a global supplier of consumer products and accessories. The Company This international leading organisation manufactures and supplies customers around the world with innovation products and accessories. The ANZ business has carved out a substantial market share and has continued to grow by offering the highest quality products with a focus on customers. As they set up for their next stage of growth, they have a need to recruit an ANZ Operations Director to lead the end-to-end operations. The Role Reporting to the Global Operations Director and ANZ MD and playing a key part of the executive leadership team, this critical role requires a process-led approach and commercial acumen and is responsible for all Operations activities including manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, planning and procurement. Lead and manage a large team across operations, with a focus on developing best practice, quality and safety. Direct or coordinate the development of projects that cover all Operations and Supply Chain areas to deliver improvements in processes, systems, cost, efficiency, customer service and overall performance. Identify and develop business initiatives in the operations and wider areas to support the current and future business growth. Work with the executive team to develop operations and supply chain strategies. Analyse information about operation performance to develop processes to improve the movement of products from suppliers through to manufacturing and to the customers. Lead the development in operations initiatives and working closely with the commercial teams to manage product requirements across manufacturing, planning, inventory control, warehousing, or transport. Working closely with the operations team to analyse performance to determine how to reduce waste and/or optimise customer service, ensuring the reduction of stock-outs as well as improving forecast accuracy. Manage all financial and commercial aspects of operations including cost management, CAPEX planning, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Person Tertiary qualified, ideally in business where they can use their qualifications and experience to lead growth. Open to industry experience but it must be closely aligned such as Automotive, building products, consumer products or FMCG industries. It is important that the successful candidates have experience across all of supply chain and operations, from raw material through to customer. They must have experience leading a manufacturing and have experience driving improvements across the supply chain. Understanding of the quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives across operational environments. High level communication, able to work in collaboration with a range of stakeholders globally and across ANZ. Able to work with a diverse leadership group, able to influence and drive strategies in conjunction with the ELT. Solutions driven, able to work through problems effectively and efficiently. Strong leadership ability, able to inspire and improve performance through people and process. Commercial with an analytical skill set.
