An Opportunity Awaits This role is one of three Guidance Officers who co-lead an extensive wellbeing and student support team. Repsonsibilities Include Provide counselling, advocacy, psychoeducational assessment and targeted support to students, and expert advice to parents and school staff across educational, behavioural, mental health, wellbeing and career development domains. Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated case management, referrals and partnerships with families, schools and external agencies to maximise student engagement and access to education. Assess student learning, developmental, behavioural and psychological needs through observation and formal assessment to inform recommendations, educational adjustments, interventions and individualised support plans. Support schools in the implementation of student protection, behaviour support, gifted education, risk management, transition planning and intensive behaviour support, including responses to critical incidents and alternative education pathways. Uphold ethical and legal responsibilities through professional record keeping, confidentiality and information sharing, while engaging in ongoing professional development and providing training and guidance to staff, parents and school communities.
