About the role Seeking a skilled and experienced Float Driver to join the team in Geelong, VIC. This full-time role is integral to the company's road transport operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of materials and equipment to various worksites. What you'll be doing Safely operate and maneuver a range of vehicles and plant equipment Transport heavy equipment, and other cargo to construction and industrial sites across the region (Some overnight stays may be required) Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle roadworthiness Adhere to all relevant road transport regulations, safety protocols, and company policies Provide excellent customer service and liaise with clients to ensure on-time and damage-free deliveries What we're looking for Minimum 3 years' experience as a Float Driver or similar heavy vehicle operator role Holds a valid Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) driver's license Demonstrated knowledge of safe loading, unloading, and securing techniques for oversized and heavy loads Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills Commitment to workplace health and safety What we offer - Competitive salary - Ongoing opportunity with a small family business
