About the Role We are seeking a reliable and organised Storesperson to join our busy engineering workshop in the Mackay region. This role is responsible for the efficient management of incoming and outgoing goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting workshop and site operations to ensure jobs run on time and safely. This position suits someone with strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and experience working in a trade, mining, or industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect and process incoming stock and materials Check deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies Store materials safely and in designated locations Pick and pack parts and materials for workshop and site jobs Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control systems Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts Maintain a clean, organised and compliant stores area Assist with procurement support when required Ensure all handling and storage complies with WHS requirements Skills & Experience Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or logistics role (engineering/mining environment preferred) Current High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF) Strong computer skills and experience with inventory systems Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and parts lists Good communication skills and ability to work within a team Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Understanding of safe manual handling practices Safety & Compliance Commitment to workplace health and safety in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) Ability to follow company policies, site procedures and permit systems Willingness to participate in training, toolbox talks and safety initiatives
