About The Role This role sits within CASG, supporting JP9347 Capability Element 3 – Platform Modernisation as an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager within IWNSPO. The position is responsible for leading the projects ILS activities across the acquisition lifecycle, working closely with Defence stakeholders and industry partners to ensure capability is effectively supported from acquisition through to introduction into service. The Integrated Logistics Support Manager will plan and execute the project ILS program, provide specialist advice to project leadership, support contract negotiations with industry, and ensure logistics deliverables are reviewed and accepted in accordance with Defence requirements. The role also involves leading a small team of ILS practitioners and maintaining strong engagement across project, sustainment, and capability stakeholders. This is a leadership-focused ILS role requiring strong acquisition experience, stakeholder engagement capability, and the ability to deliver logistics outcomes within a complex Defence project environment. Key Details Location: Canberra, ACT Clearance: NV1 (minimum) Duties & Responsibilities Lead and manage the project ILS program from acquisition through to introduction into service. Manage and mentor a small team of ILS practitioners. Support contract negotiations with industry partners relating to logistics deliverables. Develop and maintain ILS planning and project documentation. Provide balanced and informed advice to project leadership on ILS matters. Engage with internal Defence stakeholders, capability managers, sustainment organisations, and industry partners. Review and accept logistics contract deliverables within scope of competence. Prepare and deliver written and verbal briefings to project and program leadership. To Be Successful, You Will Need Demonstrated experience delivering ILS outcomes within Defence acquisition projects. Experience transitioning capability from acquisition into sustainment. Experience supporting approach to market activities and tender processes. Strong knowledge of ILS disciplines such as Logistics Support Analysis, Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RAM), lifecycle costing, and training systems. Experience developing project planning and ILS documentation. Proven ability to lead small teams and manage stakeholders across Defence and industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Formal Qualifications In An ILS-related Discipline (essential). Understanding of the Defence Capability Lifecycle and C2/C4I environments (desirable).
