About the venue: Established in 2005, The Indian Ocean Brewing Co. is located at The Marina, Mindarie, 30km north of Perth. The venue is right on the water and overlooks the Marina and Indian Ocean. This fantastic vibrant location is home to many established venues such as The Boat, Cabana, Pavilion, Lifeboat, and more. The Indian Ocean Brewing Co. is able to hold over 500 guests. It has a large inside bar & dining area, a spacious rear courtyard, a front courtyard overlooking the marina, and an award-winning brewery where the fantastic Indian Ocean Beers are made. We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, 11am until late. The Position Reporting to the Venue Manager & Assistant Venue Manager, Duty Managers are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent service and atmosphere is present 7 days a week! This is a hands-on role - you must enjoy working on the floor, leading your team from the front, and being the visible face of the venue. You will be responsible for, but not limited to: The day-to-day hands-on operation of the venue Opening & closing procedures, including cash-up and basic reporting. Assist with inducting and training new staff Being the face of the venue, interacting with guests during service periods. Ensuring F&B service consistently exceeds our guest's expectations. About you You’re able to adhere to the policies and procedures of the business and communicate with the management team effectively. You have an eye for detail and are solution focused. You see operational challenges and assist with improvements. You are fair, firm and friendly with your team - coaching, training, developing and inspiring them all along the way.
