Commercial Systems Australia in Kilsyth have an increasing workload with overtime available. We are a leading manufacturer of Australian made street and park furniture which gets distributed countrywide. We are looking for an experienced welder/fabricator to join our existing team at a casual rate of $43.75 per hour and a full-time permanent rate to be discussed if moved from casual to permanent after a probationary period, which will depend on your skills and experience. Wages are reviewed annually Requirements - Role is mostly medium gauge fabrication, working with Mild steel, Stainless Steel and occasionally Aluminium. - Must be fit, reliable, enthusiastic and willing to work as part of a team - Must be able to fabricate from a drawing with little supervision and be able to problem solve - A trade qualification is not essential but definitely an advantage - Must have basic PPE – steel cap boots, a welding mask and basic hand tools - We work a 38 hour week - Monday – Thursday 6:30 - 15:00 overtime (1/2 hour lunch) - Friday 6:30 - 12:30 (no lunch break) - Saturdays – when needed Skills and experience Welding and fabrication experience Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Work unsupervised and be able to problem solve Ability to read and speak English Forklift license would also be an advantage Job benefits and perks Regular Lunches provided Secure Full-time job for the right person Friendly work environment Clean workshop Please apply through Seek and we'll contact you
