You will have the ability to undertake a range of Cleaning duties, including high cleaning and outside cleaning. Ability to provide assistance to the cook in preparation of food/ menus for patients and residents. Delivering meals to patients and residents and collection of trays after meals have been eating. This role also includes loading and unloading the dishwasher and preparation of trays for each meal, Laundering of residents washing and being able to maintain knowledge of food safety and hygiene Blayney has 2 shifts staff are rostered to undertake- 0630-3pm and 1030- 7pm Blayney has a small team of 9 staff including hospital assistants and a cook on each shift Providing excellent resident and patient care is always very rewarding for staff. Residents value staff spending time with them and talking to them whilst cleaning duties are undertaken A typical workday would depend on what area you are working in, we have kitchen and cleaning shifts as well as cook shifts. Roles and responsibilities include cleaning and assisting the cook while taking directions from management and senior staff. The successful applicant will work closely with all departments in the hospital. Nurses, HSM, Admin, dieticians and other Hospital Assistants. All staff are required to undertake Mandatory training through online training and face to face training. The Support Services manager is available to support staff.
