You’ll be paired with senior family lawyers for structured supervision, regular file reviews, and targeted skill-building. About the Role You’ll work on a supervised and gradually expanding caseload, including: Parenting and property settlements Divorce and separation matters Financial agreements and child support Domestic violence applications and protection strategies You’ll receive: Shadowing and gradual responsibility: Observe, assist, then lead — at a pace that matches your readiness. Court exposure: Appear with support, build confidence in mentions, interim hearings, and directions. Practical training: Intake and client interviewing, drafting affidavits and applications, preparation of brief material, disclosure management, and negotiation strategies. Clear progression pathway: Milestone-based competencies linked to increased autonomy and remuneration. Who We’re Looking For Recently admitted solicitor (0–2 years PQE) with some family law experience — this could be from a clerkship, PLT placement, graduate role, or paralegal experience where you’ve touched real files. A genuine interest in family law and helping clients through difficult times. Strong written communication and attention to detail; comfortable drafting applications, affidavits, and correspondence.
