About Barclay Engineering Barclay Engineering is a Western Australia–based engineering company with a strong history in electrical infrastructure and power system projects. Due to the recent award of multiple new contracts and the continued growth of our project portfolio, we are expanding our engineering team in Perth. As part of this expansion, we have recently strengthened our engineering capability and are now seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Draftsperson to work with our newly recruited Electrical Engineer. About the Role The Electrical Engineering Draftsperson will support electrical design and documentation activities across a range of projects. This role will work closely under the direction of our engineering team, especially our electrical engineer, assisting in the preparation, coordination and maintenance of electrical design drawings and technical documentation in accordance with project requirements and relevant standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare and develop detailed electrical design drawings and documentation, including system layouts, single-line diagrams and shop drawings. Revise and update drawings based on engineering inputs, site conditions and project specifications. Conduct site visits and collect technical data to support accurate drafting and documentation. Provide drafting and documentation support to electrical engineers and project teams during project delivery. Maintain drawing registers, revision histories and organised technical documentation. Skills & Experience Relevant qualification in electrical engineering, electrical drafting or related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical drafting or design documentation roles. Strong understanding of electrical systems, technical drawings and applicable standards. Ability to interpret engineering specifications and translate them into compliant drawings. Proficiency in industry-standard drafting software. Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a structured engineering environment.
