Simulus Laboratories is seeking a Metallurgical Technician to join our Welshpool laboratory team. This is a hands-on role supporting metallurgical testwork and pilot plant programs across a range of projects for the resources industry. You will be part of a practical technical team delivering high-quality metallurgical testing in a busy laboratory environment. About the role Reporting to the Metallurgical Laboratory Manager, you will assist with the execution of metallurgical test programs, sample preparation and pilot plant operations. Key responsibilities include: Conduct metallurgical testwork in accordance with laboratory procedures and SOPs Prepare samples and operate laboratory equipment Accurately record and enter test results and observations Maintain a safe, clean and organised laboratory workspace Support basic troubleshooting and minor equipment maintenance Assist with pilot plant operations and associated equipment About you We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and detail-oriented, with experience working in a technical or laboratory environment. You will ideally have: Previous experience in a metallurgical or laboratory environment Experience following procedures and operating technical equipment Strong attention to detail and accurate data recording skills A hands-on mindset and mechanical aptitude Ability to work effectively in a dynamic laboratory environment A Forklift Licence and Senior First Aid certification would be advantageous but is not essential About Simulus Laboratories Part of the Simulus Group, Simulus Laboratories provides batch and pilot plant testwork for new process development across the full project lifecycle - from early concept through to feasibility.
