March 5, 2026 Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) Full Time Robinvale District Health Services is seeking an experienced and confident Midwifery Unit Manager — a senior clinical role responsible for delivering and coordinating community-based maternity services. This senior role combines advanced clinical midwifery practice with operational responsibility for RDHS community-based maternity services. It is a sole practitioner position, suited to a highly skilled and self-motivated midwife who thrives working autonomously within a rural setting. You will deliver and coordinate high-quality,family-centered care across Antenatal and Domiciliary services, working inclose collaboration with the O&G team at Mildura Base Public Hospital toensure safe, coordinated and effective maternity care. There is opportunity to contribute to Women’s Healthservices within your scope of practice. While not mandatory, experience orinterest in Women’s Health will be highly regarded and supported. This is a unique opportunity to shape and sustain ruralmaternity services while being supported by an experienced executive team. About the Role Provide expert, evidence-based antenatal and postnatal care Deliver domiciliary postnatal services Coordinate outpatient maternity services at RDHS Collaborate closely with regional maternity services to ensure continuity of care Manage discharge planning and referral pathways Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards Contribute to quality improvement and maternity data reporting Support service sustainability and strategic development initiatives Contribute to Women’s Health services where applicable The position operates predominantly as a sole practitioner role (approximately 80% autonomous practice), complemented by a weekly on-site visit from an Obstetrics & Gynecology Registrar to support shared care and regional collaboration.
