Job Description: Billing Coordinator The Billing Coordinator is responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments from clients. This role involves collaborating with different departments to maintain financial accuracy and improve billing efficiency. Responsibilities Invoice Management : Prepare and issue invoices to clients based on services rendered or goods provided. Ensure accuracy of billing information, including rates, hours worked, and any applicable taxes. Payment Processing : Monitor incoming payments and reconcile discrepancies in payment records. Follow up with clients on overdue invoices and establish payment plans when necessary. Data Entry and Record Keeping : Maintain accurate billing records and documentation for audits and financial reviews. Update and manage billing software to ensure data integrity and compliance. Reporting : Prepare regular reports on billing activities, outstanding invoices, and payment statuses for management review. Assist in financial forecasting and budget preparation by providing billing data. Collaboration : Work closely with the finance team, accounting department, and other internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues. Liaise with clients to address inquiries regarding billing discrepancies or service charges. Continuous Improvement : Identify areas for process improvement in billing operations and suggest necessary adjustments. Stay updated on relevant billing regulations and industry best practices. Qualifications Education : A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience : 2-4 years of experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable is advantageous. Familiarity with billing software and financial systems. Skills : Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
