We’re looking for a Credit Care Consultant to join our Lending Customer Support team in Hobart. This role is all about early support, proactive conversations and helping customers get back on track before things become harder for them. What You’ll Be Doing As a Credit Care Consultant, you’ll be a key point of contact for customers whose loan or credit accounts are moving into arrears. Your focus will be on early intervention — understanding the customer’s situation, working through options, and helping them avoid entering late‑stage arrears. Your Role Will Include Initiating early collection activities and maintaining regular contact with customers in defaultConducting clear, respectful and timely phone and written communicationManaging overdue home loans, personal loans and overdraft accountsRunning our predelinquency program to prevent future arrearsMaintaining accurate records and protecting data integrityMeeting service timeframes and processing targetsContributing to continuous improvement and better ways of workingBuilding strong customer relationships and promoting confidence in their financial wellbeingWorking safely and supporting your team to succeed through positive behaviours What You’ll Bring Strong customer service experience, ideally in financeAbility to prioritise, manage time and follow structured processesProfessional communication skills — clear, confident and compassionateSelf‑motivation and a focus on achieving team and individual goalsAbility to acquire knowledge of our policies, systems and industry practicesProblem‑solving skills and resilience under pressureUnderstanding of the local market and broader financial environmentAbility to build positive relationships and work well within a teamCuriosity and willingness to contribute to improvementProfessional presentation and confidence supporting customers through sensitive conversations If you enjoy helping people, working collaboratively and finding practical solutions, this role will give you the chance to make a genuine impact.
