The successful EALD teacher will ideally have experience supporting English as an Additional Language or Dialect learners, particularly students with limited English language proficiency. Our school has established, grounded processes to support refugee students and those from non-English speaking backgrounds in developing both English language and academic learning, and we are looking for someone who is committed to helping these learners thrive. We are also seeking an Inclusion teacher with strong knowledge and experience in supporting teachers to adjust curriculum and pedagogy for students with a range of disabilities. The successful candidate will enjoy working within a dynamic and supportive team, collaborating closely with teachers to ensure all students are able to access learning. Essential skills include strong knowledge of the curriculum, understanding of disabilities and trauma-informed practice, the ability to work as part of a year-level team, and the capacity to guide teacher aides while supporting staff to make appropriate curriculum adjustments.
