We have an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Medical Billing Finance team in a full-time role based at our Head Office in Mandurah and offering immediate start if available. About the Role Your new role will include an exciting mix of finance duties such as processing and issuing invoices and statements, following up with debtors including organisations, Medicare, Health Funds and unpaid patient accounts. You will be responsible for Complex billing for hospital sites Debt recovery Claim Rejections Invoicing Site support for billing queries Liaise with external stakeholders; including customer service queries About You You bring proven experience working within a medical practice or healthcare environment , with strong exposure to Medicare billing, MBS item numbers and Medicare rulings . You understand the importance of accuracy and compliance in medical billing and take pride in getting it right the first time. You will also demonstrate: • Solid experience in Medicare and/or private health claiming (including Eclipse) • Confidence interpreting MBS item numbers and Medicare requirements • Experience managing receivables and debtor follow-up within a healthcare setting • Strong attention to detail with a high level of data accuracy • Intermediate MS Excel skills • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team While previous accounts receivable experience is valuable, this role is best suited to someone with hands-on medical billing experience rather than a traditional accounting background.
