SC Medical is now looking for an experienced Biomedical Engineer to join your team. The right candidate will be responsible for: Perform testing, servicing, and repair of medical equipment used in hospitals and healthcare facilities to ensure devices function correctly and meet operational requirements. Conduct routine preventive maintenance and inspections on biomedical equipment to identify potential faults and maintain optimal performance. Carry out calibration and electrical safety testing of medical devices in accordance with Australian standards and healthcare regulations. Install, configure, and commission biomedical equipment in clinical environments, ensuring proper setup and integration with existing systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical faults in medical devices and related systems, and implement effective repairs or corrective actions. Maintain detailed service records, maintenance logs, and technical documentation for all equipment inspections, repairs, and testing activities. Provide technical support and guidance to healthcare professionals on the safe and proper operation of medical equipment. Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies related to biomedical equipment and clinical technology. Assist in evaluating and recommending new medical equipment or upgrades, including supporting testing and validation processes. Coordinate with hospital staff, technicians, and suppliers to schedule maintenance activities, equipment installations, and technical support services. About you: At least 1 year of experience as a Biomedical Engineer; Ability to understand, maintain, and repair a wide range of medical devices and systems used in healthcare environments. Capability to diagnose technical faults in biomedical equipment and implement effective repair or maintenance solutions. Understanding of healthcare regulations, electrical safety requirements, and compliance standards relevant to medical equipment. Ability to clearly communicate technical information and collaborate with healthcare professionals, technicians, and suppliers. Job type: Permanent/full-time Salary: $76,000 - $85,000
