About the Role Douglas Shire Council is seeking a Senior Asset Officer to join the Infrastructure and Recovery department. About You Our ideal candidate will have: Bachelor of Engineering / Asset Management and / or relevant experience. Professional Membership of an asset management related organisation; (or progress towards obtaining). Demonstrated experience in the development, coordination and review of processes, procedures and systems for asset management; Working knowledge of asset management theory.; Demonstrated experience in data management and Graphical Information Systems (GIS); Proven ability to undertake tasks and duties in a logical and objective manner; Experience in analysis of large quantities of data to produce reports, graphs, and/or tables; Well-developed reporting and analytical skills; Demonstrated experience in the provision of quality service to internal and external customers. Strong customer service focus; Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders; Sound time management skills; Demonstrated initiative with a proactive approach; Well-developed conflict resolution and negotiation skills; High level of problem solving skills; Excellent written/verbal communication skills; Experience in and commitment to working in a team environment. What we can offer you A competitive remuneration salary with 12% superannuation. Up to 5 weeks annual leave per annum with 17.5% leave loading. Up to 3 weeks personal leave per annum.
