About The Role Are you a seasoned procurement and logistics professional who thrives on variety? We are looking for a highly trustworthy and detail-oriented Logistics and Asset Manager to take full ownership of our asset lifecycle and supply chain movements. Based in Bibra Lake, you will serve as the primary lead for all physical assets, overseeing mid-to-large-scale capital purchases, managing complex freight movements, and ensuring the integrity of our stores and inventory. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will provide the leadership and commercial oversight necessary to support our multi-site operations. Key Responsibilities Asset Lifecycle & Compliance: Lead the end-to-end management of company assets, including high-value acquisitions, tracking, and eventual disposal. You will be responsible for managing equipment warranty claims and ensuring all servicing compliance is strictly maintained.Logistics & Transport Coordination: Plan and oversee complex freight movements across sites and workshops. You will ensure all activities meet Main Roads RAVS (Restricted Access Vehicle) requirements, maintaining rigorous oversight of all transport paperwork and compliance.Team Leadership: Provide daily direction, mentorship, and management for two direct reports within the procurement team, ensuring departmental goals are met.Commercial & Purchasing: Source suppliers, negotiate commercial terms for plant and equipment, and ensure all expenditure aligns with budget and governance frameworks.Governance & Inventory: Maintain a comprehensive and centralised asset register, ensuring all logistics and storage activities meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and rigorous internal audit protocols. What You’ll Bring This isn't a "sit-behind-a-desk" role; it requires someone capable of managing a multifaceted and diverse workload with a hands-on approach. Experience: A minimum of 7 years in procurement, with specific experience in logistics coordination and large-scale asset management.Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop a small operational procurement teamCompliance Knowledge: A solid understanding of WA Main Roads RAVS transport requirements and the associated paperwork compliance.Technical Oversight: Experience in managing equipment warranties and ensuring preventative servicing remains compliant with manufacturer or regulatory standards.Industry Knowledge: Exposure to mining, construction, or heavy industrial sectors is highly desirable.Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to determine "best-value" solutions beyond just the price tag.Integrity: A high level of trustworthiness is essential, as you will be managing significant company expenditure and physical assets.Adaptability: The ability to pivot between high-level commercial discussions and the day-to-day realities of workshop and site logistics.
