Airpak Sheetmetal is seeking an experienced Fabrication Factory Floor Supervisor to lead daily operations in our HVAC sheet metal duct fabrication facility. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a trade-qualified professional who excels on the factory floor, leads by example, and drives safety, quality, and productivity in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Workshop & Production Leadership Oversee daily factory floor operations and manage work‑in‑progress Coordinate job priorities with the Production Manager Ensure production targets, timelines, and quality specifications are met Maintain accurate digital job records, spreadsheets, and production data Ensure the workshop is operational and production-ready at start and end of day Liaise with Project Managers on delivery timelines and issue resolution Work collaboratively with the warehouse manager on stock control & procurement People Management Lead, supervise, and motivate a skilled production team Allocate labour and resources efficiently Provide hands‑on training, mentoring, and technical support Quality Assurance Review fabrication drawings and resolve technical issues Ensure all work meets required standards for quality, compliance, and accuracy Workplace Health & Safety Champion a strong safety-first culture Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, SOPs, MSDS, and pre-start processes Enforce correct and safe operation of plant, equipment, forklifts, and cranes Continuous Improvement Identify and implement improvements in efficiency, safety, and workflow Contribute to developing better systems, processes, and SOPs About You You are a proactive, organised, and hands-on leader with strong technical understanding of fabrication workflows. Essential Requirements Background in sheet metal fabrication of HVAC ductwork Minimum 5 years' experience in fabrication, workshop, or production leadership Proven ability to lead teams and manage priorities on a busy factory floor High attention to detail with strong focus on safety and quality Strong communication and organisational skills High level proficiency in spoken & written English Desirable Experience using production tracking systems (training provided) Licences & Prerequisites Current Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain) Current Driver's Licence Australian citizen or permanent resident Willingness to complete a company-funded pre-employment medical
