The Rural City of Murray Bridge is currently seeking multiple Field Officers – Works to join our City Operations team. About the role As a Field Officer – Works, you’ll be part of the crew delivering civil construction and maintenance works across the Council area. This role involves working on roads, footpaths, stormwater and other infrastructure projects, operate plant and machinery, and help keep our community safe and well maintained. Safety, teamwork and a strong work ethic are important in this role. What you’ll be doing Reporting to Team Leader - Infrastructure Operations, responsibilities of this role include: Assist with construction, maintenance and renewal of roads, footpaths, kerbing and stormwater Operate plant, machinery and tools safely and efficiently Carry out general civil works including concrete, pipe laying and road works Assist with minor repairs and maintenance of equipment Follow all safety procedures and safe work practices Work as part of a team to deliver Council works programs Deal with members of the public in a respectful and helpful manner What you’ll need To be successful in this role you will have: White Card Driver’s Licence – Class HR Experience in civil works, construction, or infrastructure maintenance Experience operating plant and machinery Desirable: Certificate III in Civil Construction Traffic Management TC1 / TM1 Experience in local government or road / stormwater works What We Offer 9-day fortnight with RDO Full-time, secure employment Supportive team and good working environment Opportunity to learn new skills and gain tickets Income protection insurance Health & skin checks Employee Assistance Program Family-friendly workplace Salary LGE Level 5 — $76,752 to $78,561 per year super (depending on experience).
