Remuneration – Choose the Path That Suits You Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Earn up to $247.30/hour (GP rate practice rate) — equivalent to $474,816 super (based on 40 hrs/week for 48 weeks). Earn up to $275.85/hour (Specialist rate practice rate) — equivalent to $529,632 super (based on 40 hrs/week for 48 weeks). Senior Specialist VMOs can earn up to $293.75/hour , equating to $564,000 super (based on 40 hrs/week for 48 weeks). Knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches in assessment and management of the broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Competence in performing the range of minor urgent procedures commonly undertaken in a rural emergency department including Advanced Life Support and Trauma management Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research and quality improvement. Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
