RAATISCC are looking for a committed, skilled and passionate individual to join our friendly RAATSICC team as a Leaving Violence Program – Finance Officer –– Level 3 - Cairns Based. Position Purpose: The primary purpose of the Leaving Violence Program (LVP) Finance Officer is to process payment transactions in a timely manner, monitor and report on payments through MYOB and internal software programs and provide general financial administration practices within the LVP Program. The Opportunity: • This position is Full-Time contract and is based in Cairns. • Undertake financial activities which may require the employee to exercise judgment and/or contribute critical knowledge and skills. • Ensure financial records are kept up to date with Nightingale software and hard copy files with all relevant client documentation. • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting, ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. • Fulfill a range of financial tasks associated with program delivery, processing of payments, services delivered and staying within capped budget / funding per client. • Purchase requisitions / orders and invoices and filing. • Maintain accurate and timely records of all payment transactions, contributing to regular monitoring and reporting requirements to meet desired performance outcomes of the Leaving Violence Program. About You: • Good computer skills and use of relevant technology, specifically MYOB and excel • Have previous financial experience and understand the importance of processing transactions, payments and client liaison methods. • Have advanced time management and communication skills, the ability to actively listen and challenge people, when necessary, ask appropriate questions, provide encouragement, and minimise the impact of negative behaviours. • Be reliable, a team player, have a “can do attitude” and be able to apply computer programming knowledge and skills for maintaining and implementing practices.
