Your New Role: We’re seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Support Officer to join our Development & Compliance Team on a 12-month maternity relief contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of a dynamic local government team responsible for development assessment, regulatory services, and compliance functions. You will play a key role in providing high-level administrative and customer support to internal staff, external stakeholders, and the broader community. Duties include: Providing business support services to technical officers in Council’s Development & Compliance Team Preparing correspondence including but not limited to, Development Approvals, Post Consent Certificates, Building Certificates, Environmental Health matters, Ranger and Compliance Issues Processing applications, , registrations and associated documentation Maintaining accurate records and managing electronic document systems Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and in person For a full list of the Key Accountabilities of the role, please refer to the Position Description. About You: To be successful in this role, you will possess relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated administration experience; excellent verbal and written communication; intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills; and strong customer service skills.
