LOCATION CAIRNS Immediate Start for the right person Job Description: We are seeking 2 highly skilled and qualified Diesel Fitters to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Diesel Fitter at Cairns SIM Trans, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing and enhancing marine engine and transmissions. Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and maintain marine diesel engines and transmissions. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on marine vessels. Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues. Engine & Transmission installations and alignments. Conduct dyno testing and performance evaluations. Maintain accurate records of service and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Qualifications: Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or equivalent. Proven experience in engine and transmission repair. Minimum of 3-5 years of diesel fitting experience required. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication skills and the ability to interact with clients professionally. Possession of a current Queensland (QLD) driver's license. Forklift license is desirable but not essential.
