Please click the link to the wonderful work that goes into our community - https://hopecommunityservices.org.au/location/hope-springs/ About the Role We are seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the Hope Springs Therapeutic Community and other HOPE Midwest properties. This hands-on role combines facilities management, maintenance coordination, and program support, ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently while contributing to the therapeutic community environment. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, equipment, and facilities across HOPE Midwest sites Managing contractors, suppliers, and maintenance schedules Overseeing fleet servicing in partnership with the Business Support Coordinator Ensuring compliance with OSH, safety, and property standards, including commercial kitchen, fire safety, and pool compliance Supporting inductions for staff and residents at HSTC Providing practical instruction and support to residents in activities such as woodwork, maintenance, and permaculture projects Coordinating animal care on site and overseeing general farm operations Maintaining strong communication with staff, residents, and community stakeholders Supporting quality assurance, accreditation requirements, and risk management processes What’s on Offer Full-time role - 38 hours per week, based at Mount Hill in the Midwest - 30 minute scenic drive from Geraldton $100,776.00 superannuation Up to $15,900.00 salary packaging benefits available Opportunity to work in a unique therapeutic community environment Supportive team culture focused on recovery, respect, and collaboration The chance to make a meaningful impact in people’s recovery journeys Work at our amazing facilities with a gym, pool and woodwork shop 2 friendly dogs and a cat on-site! You’ll Need Experience in practical construction, mechanical, landscaping, or property maintenance work Ability to undertake manual work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Confidence working independently and managing multiple tasks Ability to work with animals and oversee animal care on site Experience working in culturally appropriate ways Strong communication, administration, and computer skills Ability to manage challenging interpersonal situations and maintain professional boundaries Desirable: Experience working with people experiencing alcohol and other drug challenges Experience supporting people with challenging behaviours Knowledge of OHS systems Pool Manager’s Certificate Permaculture Design Certificate Pre-employment requirements: Current Driver’s Licence National Police Clearance (within 3 months) Department of Justice Clearance Working With Children Check First Aid Certificate Next Steps If you’re shortlisted, we’ll contact you for a phone conversation and may invite you to an interview either online or at our Geraldton office.
