Supportive, high‑trust team culture with strong collaboration across remote and local staff The Role As the Evidence & Insights Officer , you’ll be a key driver behind the integrity, analysis, and use of data informing the Personal Responsibility and Opportunity Act (PRO Act) Program , a nationally significant reform agenda aimed at strengthening capabilities and opportunities for families. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is tech‑savvy, analytical, and comfortable working autonomously — including in a remote environment. Key responsibilities include: Managing PRO Act Program databases and ensuring high‑quality data integrity. Analysing complex datasets to identify issues, risks, and opportunities for senior leaders. Providing reporting and insights for internal teams, external stakeholders, and steering committees. Enhancing data interrogation and reporting capabilities across the program. Supporting monitoring and evaluation, including data collation and analysis. Documenting business and functional requirements for database improvements. Working collaboratively with program staff and leadership, including across remote locations, to continuously improve data collection systems. What You’ll Need Essential Tertiary qualification or experience in data analysis or related fields. Advanced capability in data analysis tools and statistical methods Demonstrated experience working across complex projects and stakeholder groups, including remotely. Strong understanding of data systems, databases, and performance improvement. Highly effective communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information to varied audiences. Excellent organisation and time‑management, especially important for remote or autonomous work settings. Understanding of Cape York Peninsula communities, cultures, and context. Ability to obtain/hold a Working with Children Blue Card and National Police Check. Key Attributes Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust. Analytical thinker with a solutions‑focused mindset. Self‑motivated, proactive and adaptable. Strong communication, listening, and conflict‑resolution abilities. Ability to work independently and influence program direction.
