About the Role Avant are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to work closely with business units and project teams, providing strategic support and guidance to develop and implement sourcing strategies that optimise cost, quality, and service levels whilst meeting regulatory requirements. The key focus of the role will be to: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives from RFx development through to contract negotiation and award Support supplier contract and commercial negotiations Work with the business to maintain supplier governance and performance management Support implementation of end-to-end procurement systems Key Accountabilities Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide guidance throughout the procurement process Identify value and cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favourable terms and pricing with suppliers Supplier Governance and Performance Management Support stakeholders to maintain sound governance and processes over supplier selection, due diligence, and ongoing oversight Establish performance standards and evaluation processes to assess and report on supplier management activity Procurement Framework, Policies and Systems Monitor and report compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements including CPS 230 Support the design and implementation of end-to-end procurement systems Drive continuous improvement of the procurement framework, policies, and supplier templates Act as trusted advisor in procurement and supplier risk management Skills and experience required: 7 years of experience working in Procurement Financial Services experience (preferred) Experience in procurement concepts, processes, activities, and strategies Strong negotiation and category management skills Knowledge of Supplier Governance and APRA CPS 230 Excellent collaboration skills with ability to influence constructively About Avant For over 130 years, Avant has stood by Australian medical professionals.
