The company Sipcam Australia is a leading supplier of farm chemicals and fertiliser to rural Australia. With global economies of scale in manufacturing and a highly efficient distribution network, Sipcam brings a new level of value to the crop protection and nutrition markets. Sipcam has established new production facilities in Adelaide and Perth that specialises in the production of liquid micronutrient fertiliser and is seeking a production manager to work with the current site manager to assist in the day-to-day production. This is a hands-on role, requiring a combination of warehouse and production duties. The role The role will consist of several diverse components- Operation and supervision of production of liquid fertiliser Maintain product standard in line with specifications Quality control implementation and improvements during manufacturing and post manufacturing WHS management and risk assessment, mitigation and management of all equipment and processes Recording of manufacturing records Warehouse duties, including loading and unloading of packaged and bulk materials Administrative tasks, including recording of product movements, stock takes and housekeeping Requirements Current driver's license Current Forklift license Warehouse and forklift experience Ability to work in a small team and autonomously Experience managing a small team of employees Understanding of WHS compliance Chemistry knowledge would be a significant advantage An understanding of liquid handling and micronutrients would be an advantage The role is available for immediate start.
