About Us: Destec is a diversified mining contractor with a rapidly growing client base, providing ore crushing, screening, and materials handling to the mining industry. We take pride in innovation by designing, constructing, building, maintaining, and operating our own crushing and screening plants for mining sites. Additionally, we provide comprehensive ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia. The Opportunity We're on the lookout for skilled and experienced Fixed Plant Operator /Maintainers with experience working in and around both mobile and fixed plant crushing operations for a new project based in the Northern Goldfields. This role will involve but not be limited to: Conduct daily crushing plant inspections Monitor and control plant processes and equipment to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operation Carry out basic Maintenance tasks of Chutes, Scrapers, and Vibrating screens Plant clean up shoveling, scraping, and sweeping where required Operate applicable machines including Skid steer, IT, telehandler, EWP These opportunities will be offered on a full-time permanent contract, working a 2 weeks on, 1 week off (2:1) roster including day and night rotation. What You'll Bring to the Team Essential Skills & Qualifications: Fixed plant operating/maintaining experience Mechanical fitting trade (desired) Skid steer/Bobcat/Telehandler experience Basic computer skills outlook, Word, and willingness to learn the plant operating program Confined space and working at heights trained A current, valid driver's licence Preferred Skills (but not essential): Elevated Work Platform CN Crane Ticket Rigging and/or Dogging What We Expect from You Problem-Solving Skills: A methodical and analytical approach to troubleshooting.
