Your new employer Aboriginal Family Support Services is a lead Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that has been providing services to Aboriginal families and communities across South Australia for over 40 years. The Cultural Engagement Advisor is run through the Towards Home Alliance program alongside Baptist Care, the role ensures that Aboriginal people experiencing homelessness are warmly welcomed into receiving supports in a culturally responsible and proactive way. The role will work with intake and assessment, cultural mapping and networking supporting clients to find connections to culture and community through their journey of finding housing and supporting the team on cultural matters. The Cultural Engagement Advisor will represent AFSS on an operational level at sector and alliance events and will have the ability to speak to cultural issues as they rise. This position is identified, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are strongly recommended to apply.
