Retail Trainee – Trade & Hardware Located in Mackay, QLD The National Timber & Hardware Association (NTHA) is seeking a Retail Trainee to come on board our host employer’s team in Mackay. NTHA is a nationally registered Group Training Organisation that employs and supports trainees & apprentices by placing them with host employers for quality, paid hands-on training and real industry experience. ABOUT THE HOST EMPLOYER Our host employer operates a busy Trade Centre in Mackay, supplying quality building and hardware products to trade and retail customers. With experienced staff, efficient order processing, delivery services, and a strong reputation in the local construction industry, they are known for reliable service and practical product advice. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused trainee to join a busy front counter team while completing a Certificate III in Retail (SIR30216) . This 12-month, full-time paid traineeship offers hands-on experience working in hardware and general retail. You will be serving tradespeople, assisting customers with product advice, and taking phone orders in a fast-paced trade environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while building practical skills in retail sales, trade support, and customer service.
