Border Express is growing and we’re looking for experienced Forklift Drivers to join our busy Salisbury South depot. We have a casual PM Shift role, Monday to Friday, working in a fast moving general freight environment. If you’re reliable, safety minded and confident on the forks, you’ll fit right in. These positions are responsible for the safe and effective movement of freight within the branch and on an off our linehaul and local fleet. Success in this position will be measured when Delivered In Full On Time (DIFOT) targets are met and, a safe workplace is actively demonstrated. This is a front line position, which requires a high level of communication, professionalism and customer service to be applied consistently every day. Duties: Loading and unloading tautliners, PUD trucks and linehaul trailers Always check load restraint, packaging and the condition of freight before it travels Sorting and staging freight safely and efficiently Working with the team to keep freight moving through the depot Completing basic paperwork and scanning as needed Keeping your work area clean and following all safety procedures Report all damages to freight or forklift to your supervisor immediately; Skills and Experience: LF Forklift Licence (required) Experience in general freight or transport depots Confident loading various trailer types (tautliners, doubles, rigids) Ability to read consignment notes and follow load plans Reliable, safety focused attitude Able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment Excellent attitude, a good work ethic and reliability Ability to work unsupervised If you’re a hands-on worker who takes pride in doing the job properly, Apply now!
